Cordell Kincaid

Cordell Kincaid, age 79, of San Antonio, died Saturday, August 28, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas.

The family will host a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are invited to a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2021, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Atoka Cemetery in Novice. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

He was born Cordell Archie Kincaid on February 11, 1942, in Novice to Robert Kincaid and Grace Casey Kincaid. He grew up in Novice where he attended school. Cordell proudly served his country in the Army Reserve. He worked in construction and was an operating engineer. Cordell loved to do crossword puzzles, golfing, fishing, and reading. He was a proud Mason and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. Cordell loved his family and friends; he will be missed.

Cordell is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Laura McDaniel and Lydia Wisener; and six brothers, Robert Frank Kincaid, Ralph W. Kincaid, Albert Sidney Kincaid, Johnny Ben Kincaid, Elery Buster Kincaid, and J.J. Kincaid.

He is survived by his daughter, Cordella Yancy and husband Erik of San Antonio; his son, Christopher Whitten and wife Robyn of San Antonio; two grandchildren, Aransas Whitten and Stevie Whitten; and four brothers, Harlon Kincaid, Gary Kincaid, Leon Kincaid, and Presley Kincaid.

Memorials are suggested in memory of Cordell to the Scottish Rite for Children at www.scottishriteforchildren.org.
