Carolyn Vanita Stover, age 74, of Rising Star, passed away Saturday morning, August 28, at her home.

She was born December 29, 1944 in Gorman, Texas the daughter of J. W. and Eulala (Roberts) Stover. She had lived in Rising Star most of her life. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for many years. She was a faithful member of the Pioneer Baptist Church near Rising Star and loved being with family.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Martin of Rising Star, four grandchildren, Michelle Fox, Devin Haan, Shelton Haan, and Samuel Martin.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brooke Haan and a brother, Fred Stover.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
