Brown County Sheriff’s Report – Aug. 26

  • On Monday, August 23 at approximately 10:20 p.m. a complainant reported her dog was attacked by another dog on August 23, 2021, while it was outside in the common area of the apartment complex. Complainant’s dog seemed healthy and uninjured.
  • On Wednesday, August 25 at about 11:31 a.m. Deputy Byron Langley, spoke with a victim by phone. This was in regards to ID theft. The victim stated someone had used her name, date of birth, Social Security number, and driver license number to open an account with Atmos Energy, without her consent.
  • On Wednesday, August 25 at around 5:12 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover responded to N. US 183. This was in reference to a suspect trespassing on the property and being in the roadway. After Brownwood PD detained the suspect, a trespass warning was issued to him. A report was made.
  • On Wednesday, August 25 at around 4:51 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover spoke to a complainant in regards to a missing firearm, which was possibly stolen. After further investigation, a report was made.
  • On Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 6:24 a.m. Cpl. Jayson Bastardo was dispatch to CC Woodson Rd, Victory Life Church. This was in regards to a Violation of Protective Order. Dispatch advised, off duty Constable had detained the individual for the violation of the protective order. After further investigation, the individual was identified and taken into custody for Violation of Protective Order and transported to the Brown County Jail.
