Fair Association adds Casino Night to list of Aug. 21 activities

The Brown County Fair Association is capping off a busy Saturday, Aug. 21 with its First Annual Casino Night at the Brownwood Claybird Club Pavilion.

The event will feature gambling, cocktails and a three-course fine dining experience.

Prizes such as trips, guns, and more will be available. Tickets are on sale now and include dinner, drinks, and your first $1,000 of gambling money.

Also on Saturday, Aug. 21 the Brown County Fair Association will host its second annual Clay Shoot tournament at the Brownwood Claybird Club.

The entry fee is $125 per shooter and teams consist of four shooters. Raffle tickets to win a shotgun will also be available. Action begins at 8 a.m.

The first-place team wins $2,000 while second-place and third-place teams receive trophies. The first-place individual will be the recipient of a CZ-USA 06464 shotgun, while second- and third-place individuals get trophies.

The Brownwood Claybird Club, which features 12 sporting clay stations, is located at 5875 County Road 225 behind the Brownwood Country Club.

Also Saturday, the Brown County Fair Association will host a 9-hole, three-person scramble at the Brownwood Country Club, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

There will be a max of 18 teams and 60 players.

The first-place team will receive $1,500 while the second-place and third-place teams receive trophies

Prizes will also be given for closest to the hole on the Par 3s – a Ping G425 Driver, a Ping G425 Hybrid, and a Stitch golf bag
