Blood drives at Hendrick, United and Walmart in August

Blood supply remains low. All blood types are needed. With back to school around the corner, attention turns to school needs. Please carve out one hour to donate blood.

Blood donors only need to be at least 16 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be healthy. 16 – 22 year old donors will need to meet additional height and weight requirements. 16 year old donors must present a minor donor permit signed by a parent or guardian – go to www.vitalant.org to find the form.

Hendrick Medical Center Blood Drive is Tuesday, August 3 from 1-6 pm, Wednesday, August 4  and Thursday, August 5 from 10 am-3 pm.

Please call 877-258-4825, code Hendrick to make an appointment. Appointments are encouraged, however, walk-ins are welcome. Bloodmobile will be parked in the HMCB’s West parking lot off Streckert Drive. The blood drive code is Hendrick or enter zip code

United Supermarkets will be holding a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28. Call 877-258-4825. The blood drive code is united or enter zip code.

Also, Walmart will be holding a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31. Call 877-258-4825. The blood drive code is walmartbw or enter zip code.

COVID-19 vaccinated? Great! You are ABSOLUTELY allowed to give blood if you meet all general blood donation eligibility criteria.
