The Brownwood Police Department issued the following press release Monday afternoon regarding a pair of weekend arrests:

Pablo Celedon II

On Friday, July 16, 2021, at approximately 3:15 p.m. officers with the Brownwood Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Elizabeth St and identified the driver as 36 -year-old Pablo Celedon II, of Brownwood.

Mr Celedon has been identified as a person of interest into the distribution of suspected Methamphetamine in the Brown County area.

During the traffic stop, it was confirmed through Brown County Adult Probation that terms of his misdemeanor probation include a search clause.  At the conclusion of the traffic stop Mr Celedon was escorted to his residence in the 2700 block of 1st St. and a search was conducted.  While conducting the probationary search Mr Celedon admitted to having consumed methamphetamine recently as well as actively distributing/selling Methamphetamines from the residence.  During the search approximately ½ a gram of Methamphetamine was located.

While interviewing Mr Celedon he corroborated the information received on July 10, 2021, when a confidential informant purchased approximately 53 grams of Methamphetamine from this residence.  That substance on that date was seized in furtherance of the investigation, pending confirmation of identity.

At the conclusion of this investigation, Mr Celedon was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 stemming from this traffic stop.  Additionally, Detectives obtained an arrest warrant based on the previous seizure of Methamphetamine.  Mr Celedon was served with that warrant for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1

Juan Pineda

On Sunday, July 18, 2021, at approximately 3:35 a.m. officers were dispatched to a Disorderly Conduct call at a residence in the 1800 block of Ave I.

While traveling to that location, Officer James Holdar was informed that a suspect was leaving in a red pickup.  Ofc Holdar observed the vehicle in question and initiated a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Ave. D where the suspect was later determined to live.  As officers approached the residence and vehicle, the suspected driver entered, then exited the residence.  The driver was identified as Juan Miguel Pineda.

Officers conducted an investigation on Ave I while officer Holdar was with Mr Pineda on Ave D.  The investigation revealed that Mr Pineda was at a residence on Ave I and became angry with the homeowners there.  At some point, Mr Pineda retrieved a pistol and threatened several citizens at that home.  He pointed the pistol at them in a threatening manner.

Mr Pineda was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault w/a Deadly Weapon.
