Brown County Sheriff’s Report – July 16

  • On Tuesday, July 13 Deputy Andre Smoot was dispatched to a call referencing a cow that had been shot. Upon further investigation, it was determined the cow was run over by a vehicle and beer cans were left on the ground in the area. A suspect was later located and interviewed on the incident, and a report was later completed.
  • On Tuesday, July 13 Deputy Mason Fabbiani was dispatched to a theft of water on Starboard Drive. The suspect had left the scene while the Zephyr Water Coop was at the location. A report has been made.
  • On Wednesday, July 14 at about 9:08 a.m. Deputy Byron Langley arrived at CR 143 in Bangs. This was in regards to a dog bite. Langley spoke to the complainant, who stated her client, the victim, was bit by a dog on their morning walk.
  • On Wednesday, July 14 at approximately 11:25 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to the ER. This was in reference to an animal bite.
  • On Thursday, July 15 at approximately 8:41 a.m. Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched CR 225. This was in reference to a vehicle accident on private property.
  • On Thursday, July 15 Lt. Pete Bastardo responded to 14100 CR 239. This was in regards to an accident occurring on private property. Information was gathered for a report.
  • On Thursday, July 15 at around 3:51 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover contacted a complainant. This was in regards to her dog being attacked by a neighbor’s dog. After further investigation, a citation was issued for an unvaccinated dog and a report was made.
  • On Thursday, July 15 at around 7:12 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover, as well as Deputy Christopher Angel, arrived at E US 377. This was in reference to theft of property. After further investigation as well as consent searching the suspect’s property, the items were not found, and a report was made.
  • On Thursday, July 15 at around 7:12 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover, while investigating property theft, found a driver’s license on a subject that did not belong to him. After attempting to contact the licensee, the driver’s license was placed into property for safe keeping. A report was made.
  • On Friday, July 16 Deputy Mason Fabbiani was dispatched to the 1600 block of Walnut in reference to illegal dumping. Several household items were located. A report has been made.
