Unique finds and consignment.  That is the description of Hey June that opened on June 3rd in Brownwood. Melissa Mullins in the storekeeper.  And the story behind the name of the store?

“We really liked Hey Jude but, you know, that probably has a lot of trademarks that we can’t afford here.  We just said, hey, how about Hey June?  We like June, I was born in June, so we just went with that,” Mullins said.

She said there are consignments coming in all the time.

“We do consignments, so you just never know what the customer is going to bring in.  We’ve had all the way from custom dining tables, from galleries to mid century modern chromcraft.  We have something for every customer,” Mullins said.

There is also a large selection of nice clothing.

“A lot of clothing.  Name brand shoes, name brand clothing for kids, men, ladies, all the way to plus sizes,” Mullins added.

Hey June is located right behind Red Wagon at 801 N. Fisk.  Store hours are Wednesday through Friday 9:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.

“I’d love for people to come by.  It’s a fun place, have a cup of coffee, we’ve got a coffee bar set up and some days we have other drinks available, maybe a cold refreshing tea.  It’s a fun atmosphere,” Mullins said.

Look for the mural on the outside of the building painted by Michelle Troutman.
