The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of July 7:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

Fishing is good.  Water lightly stained; 88 degrees; 0.15 feet low.

Largemouth bass are fair with Texas rigged plastic worms, crank baits and tubes along grass lines, rocky shorelines, and flooded vegetation.

Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in brush piles and near bridge pilings.

White bass and hybrids are good on slabs, striper jigs, and live bait along the main lake channels, humps, and ridges.  Look for birds diving over feeding schools of white bass.

Catfish are good on chicken liver and night crawlers.

LAKE CISCO

Fishing is good.  Water clear; 74 degrees; 0.37 feet low.

Largemouth bass are fair on crankbait and soft plastic rigs in the early mornings and later in the evenings fishing the northern portion of the lake.

Sunfish are good on cutworms under structures or vegetation.

Crappie remain fair on jigs and minnows.

Catfish have been fair on stink bait, chicken livers, and cut shad.

LAKE COLEMAN

Fishing is fair.  Water slightly stained; 77 degrees; 2.08 feet low.

Hybrid stripers are fair on rattle traps chasing schools deeper preferring silver coloring.

Largemouth bass are fair with topwater, worms, and jerkbaits just off the timber in deeper water and brush.

Crappie remain good on jigs off of points under larger dock.

Catfish are fair with stink bait and cut bait.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

Fishing is good.  Water clear; 77 degrees; 14.04 feet low.

Black bass remain fair as the summer slowdown is close.  Fishing deep, for cool structures will be the key using crankbait and worms in quiet natural colors.

Crappie are good on jigs.

Catfish are good on stink bait, live bait, and cut bait.

White bass are fair in cool water deep.

LAKE PROCTOR

Fishing is good.  Water lightly stained; 88 degrees; 1.55 feet high.

Largemouth bass are good on swimbaits, plastic worms, and flipping jigs near main lake points, drop-offs, flooded vegetation, and rocky shorelines.

Hybrid stripers are good with live bait and swim baits in the main lake in water depths 25-45 feet.

Crappie are good with minnow and jigs near timber and brush piles in water ranging 11-28 feet.

Catfish are good on cut bait, live bait, and earthworms.
