Local Independence Day weekend events

  • The 10th Annual Wild Duck Marina Firework Bash is Saturday, July 3rd.  The party kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a boat parade ($10 entry sign up at Wild Duck). Live music will start at 8:30 p.m. with the firework show starting at 9:30 p.m. Live music will continue after the show until midnight.
  • Baker Street Red, White and Brews will take place beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 3 at Pioneer Tap House, CJ ‘s Cigar Lounge and Earth and Noble. Ray’s Southern Seafood and Jay’s House of Soul Food will be on hand with crawfish, shrimp, fish, boudin balls, and more. Live music will be provided by Chlsy and Spaceboy.
  • Freedom Fest at the Paske Whiskey Ranch in Zephyr, at 12601 CR 291, will take place from 8 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday, July 3. The event will feature live music by Matt Stapp, vendors, barbecue and fireworks.
  • The 23rd annual Richland Springs Stars and Stripes celebration will take place Saturday, July 3. Activities include a parade, wild pig sacking, washers tournament, horseshoe tournament, cornhole tournament, 42 domino tournament, canning and baking contest, food and craft vendors, a fish fry, water slide, a silent auction on local homemade items, and “the best fireworks show west of the Mississippi.”
  • The Rising Star Chamber of Commerce will host its Freedom Festival Saturday, July 3. A parade will be held at 10 a.m., cook-off judging begins at 11 a.m., vendors will be on hand all day, and a fireworks show take place at dark.
  • The We the People Extravaganza in San Saba will feature a Saturday, July 3 concert headlined by Rick Trevino, along with Jeb Bridges and Over the Moon and a Sunday, July 4 Fireworks Show at Mill Pond Park. Other activities include a kickball tournament, 5K/1 mile Fun Run, and parade. Visit the San Saba County Chamber of Commerce website for more information.
  • The July Jubilee at Richards Park in Brady will take place from 4 p.m. to dark Saturday, July 3. The evening will conclude with a fireworks show. Vendors will be set up at the park entrance and items for sale include arts and crafts, cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, barbecue, hot dogs, funnel cakes, tacos, drinks and more.
  • The Coleman Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the RED, WHITE AND BLUE BASH in downtown Coleman THIS Saturday, July 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  at the Coleman County Courthouse. Events include bikes, wagon parade, hot dogs, lemonade, cotton candy, pickles, popcorn, snow cones.

10:00 am – Chipping & Pitching Clinic

12:00 pm – Massage Therapy

Pool Side from 12:00 pm-8:00 pm – $1/Min (15 Minute Minimum)

2:00 pm – Putting Clinic

Practice your short game with our Golf Pro, Mick Jones, at the practice putting green.

5:00 pm – Live Music on the Patio – Jay Smith

6:00 pm– Taco and Fajita Night – $22/Person

8:00 pm – Live Music at the Stage – Joe Savage Band
