Brown County Sheriff’s Report – June 23

  • On Sunday, June 20, Deputy Andre Smoot responded to an assault call where the suspect left before arrival. Information was gathered from both parties involved and a report was completed for further investigation.
  • On Monday, June 21 Deputy Chris Angel, was dispatched to Ennis Dr.  This was in reference to a theft. Angel spoke with a victim who resides at this location. The victim stated a suspect had come on to her property and taken her lawn mower. The victim did not want to file any charges and wanted a criminal trespass warning placed on the suspect for this residence.
  • On Monday, June 21 around 1:45 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover initiated a traffic stop on Highway 183 South for speeding. The driver was arrested for Driving While License Invalid/Previous Conviction and was transported to the Brown County Jail.
  • On Monday, June 21 Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of Illegal Dumping. The complainant advised a large amount of garbage had been dumped on the side of County Road 331. A report was made.
  • On Tuesday, June 22 at around 3:41 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover arrived at the Care Nursing Center in Brown County. This was in reference to terroristic threat. After further investigation, a report was made.
