Audie Kellems

Audie Kellems, age 95, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021, in Abilene, Texas.

She was born on April 5, 1926, in Sylamore, Arkansas, to Clarence Monroe Wrinkle and Edna Pearl (Young) Wrinkle. In 1942 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Valentine Kellems in New Port, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1986. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, and was an inspiration to her family. Audie worked hard all her life. She was field worker, laundry worker, Certified Nurse Aide and continued to work as a CNA until she was eighty-three years of age. She was a devout Christian and lived her life accordingly in both her personal and professional life. She was loved, admired and respected by all who knew her. Audie was a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church in Comanche.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Dawna Kellems of Comanche; daughter, Betty Lee Moulds of Birch Tree, Missouri; sons, Sam Ervin Kellems and wife Arlean of Comanche and Matthew Kellems of Blanket; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Edna Wrinkle; and children, Edith, Catherine Pearl, Mark Allen, Nettie Linda, and Kenneth Monroe.

Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home from 8:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 1, at Rock Church Cemetery in Brown County, Texas, with Pastor Jeff Pitman officiating. Condolences may be offered on line at www.comanchefh.com

Lunch will be at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at New Life United Pentecostal Church in Comanche.
