Kenneth “Ken” Wayne Blake, 62, of Bangs, Texas passed away May 13, 2021. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 19, 2021.

Ken was born July 6, 1958 in Lubbock, Texas to Red and Charlotte Blake. He attended Bangs High School and lived in the Lake Brownwood community for most of his life. Ken worked for Ken’s Tanks for about 20 years and continued to work for Newton Enterprises when the company changed hands for another 10 years. Ken was a simple man who loved his family. He loved to shoot his guns, ride dirt bikes and go to Rock concerts but his favorite times were watching his niece in karate and playing video games with his nephews. He was the uncle that loved to spend time with his family and help out no matter what they had going on.

Ken is survived by his mother, Charlotte Greenwood of Bangs; sisters, Patricia Cathey and husband Graham, Martha Horn; nieces, Rebecca Connally and husband Kelly, Angela James and husband Mark, Ashely Linder; and many great nieces and nephews and friends that meant so much to Ken.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, M.A. “Red” Blake; grandparents, Bill and Lille Blake & Johnie and Ruth Ellis.

Online condolences, tributes and memorials can be shared with the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.
