Brown County Sheriff’s Report – April 20

On Friday, April 16 at about 11:25 a.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at the Brownwood Law Enforcement Center located at 1050 W Commerce in Brownwood, TX. This was in regards to suspicious activity. Langley spoke to a complainant who stated she believes her mother is being abused by her boyfriend/husband.

On Friday, April 16 at about 12:33 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at CR 105 in Brownwood, TX. This was in regards to a hit and run. Langley spoke with the victim, who stated someone ran over his mailbox

On Friday, April 16 at 4:29 p.m., Deputy Carlyle James Gover responded to the Brown County Jail. This was in reference to an inmate reporting missing property on a property he resided at in the county. After further investigation, a report was made.

On Saturday, April 17, at 12:08 a.m., Deputy Carlyle James Gover, and other deputies, arrived at Bluebonnet Hill. This was in reference to an active domestic. The suspect fled before the deputy’s arrival. After speaking to the victim of the domestic, a report was made.

On Saturday, April 17 at approximately 1:03 p.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to FM 1467, Blanket. This was in reference to a burglary of a building report and investigation. 

On Sunday, April 18, at about 8:18 a.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Quiet Country RV Park located at Hwy 183 N Lot #15 in Brownwood, TX. This was in regards to an animal bite. Langley spoke to the victim, who stated his neighbor’s dog bit him.

On Sunday, April 18, at approximately 8:27 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched  FM 45, Brownwood. This was in reference to two mailboxes being struck by a vehicle.

On Sunday, April 18 at 2 p.m., Deputy Carlyle James Gover arrived to the jail in reference to a jailer being assaulted by an inmate. After further investigation, a report was made.

On Sunday, April 18, Deputy Mason Fabbiani was notified of a vehicle driving without any lights on. A traffic stop was performed on Hwy 67. The driver was identified and warrants for his arrest were located. A firearm was located and taken for safety while the driver was placed in custody for the warrants.

On Monday, April 19 at approximately 12:35 p.m., Deputy Mike Sheedy, arrived at US Highway 377 South. This was in regard to abandoned/found property. The complainant located a bicycle on the property located in the 3600 Block of US Highway 377 South on April 19, 2021.  An information report was generated for the abandoned bicycle.

On Monday, April 19, Deputy Mike Sheedy was informed the complainant had an estray calf on his property for approximately 3 weeks.  Brown County Deputies and the complainant attempted to locate an owner, but were unsuccessful.  Complainant brought the calf to the Law Enforcement Center where it has been secured in the livestock pens.
