DUBLIN – Early and Bangs combined to earn eight berths in the Region I-3A track and field meet based on Thursday’s performances at the 7-3A/8-3A area track meet.

The Longhorns secured four berths as the 4×100 relay of Tre Beam, Alex Jacobs, Riley Hill and Vic Cooper (44.22) placed third, while fourth-place efforts belonged to Cooper in the triple jump (42-11) and Jacobs in both the 100 meters (11.46) and 200 meters (23.49).

The Lady Horns secured three regional berths as Grecia Yebra won the 200 meters (26.35) and came in third in the high jump (4-10), while Ciara Gallardo finished third the shot put (32-4.75).

For Bangs, the lone regional qualifier was Hanna Parson, who placed fourth in the girls 800 meters (2:32.26).
