The 24th annual Goldthwaite State Championship BBQ and Goat Cook-Off is slated for Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24 at the Goldthwaite State Park.
Also occuring during the event will be the Lions Club fish fry Friday afternoon; the kids pork chop contest Friday night; Dance in the Park Under the Stars Friday night with Jody Lee, Jeb Bridges and the Zak Webb Band; a Color Me Crazy 5K or 1K Run Saturday morning; a washer tournament Saturday night; a dunking booth; a beer tent; and the Mills County Area Go Texan will serve goat meat.
The event is co-sponsored by Tegeler Chevrolet, MC Bank and the Goldthwaite Area Chamber of Commerce.
