
On Wednesday, the American Southwest Conference announced the 2021 men’s basketball all-conference awards, and two Howard Payne University players were recognized on the list.
TYRELL THOMPSON- 1st team All-West Division
Starting in all 18 games played for Howard Payne, Tyrell was first on the team in scoring at 15.5 ppg and first on the team in rebounding, averaging 8.2 rebounds a game. He was fourth in the ASC in rebounding and recorded a double-double three times this season.
MICHAEL HOUSE- All-West Division Freshman Team
Starting in 14 of 18 games played for HPU, Michael was second on the team in scoring at 11.9 ppg. He scored a season-high 25 points versus Concordia.
