Barbara Marie (Fikes) Lemons

Barbara Lemons, age 82, of Brownwood passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Hendricks Hospital of Brownwood.

Funeral Services for Barbara will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Brian Hall officiating; burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Barbara was born to Lawrence Fikes and Marie (Anderson) Fikes on January 2, 1939, in Brady, Texas. She graduated from Brady High School in 1957.

Barbara Fikes married E.J. Lemons on June 4, 1960, in San Angelo. She worked for 3M Company for many years. She loved spending time with her husband and family.

Barbara is survived by her children: Shirley Blevins of Brownwood, Christy Jackson of Brownwood, Bobbie Crelia and husband Joe of San Angelo, Misty Jackson and husband John NeSmith of Brownwood, Adam Jackson and wife Theresa of San Angelo; 10 grandchildren: Aaron Smith and wife Makayla, William Smith and Kassi, Raymond NeSmith and Madison, Jeremy Brown and wife Tori, Destiny NeSmith, Kelsey Brown and Robin all of Brownwood, Patrishia Jackson of San Angelo, and Tommy Jackson of San Angelo; 9 great-grandchildren; and many others considered children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; her 2 brothers, R.L Fikes of OK, Gerald “Butch” Fikes and wife Lillian of Odessa; sister, Louise Rhodes of OK. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband E.J. Lemons, a son, Billy Lemons; grandson, Gaiden Crelia; parents, Lawrence and Marie Fikes; brothers, Billy Jack Fikes, and William Eugene Fikes; son-in-law, Ralph Blevins.
