Margie Oday Hodges, age 68 passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021. A graveside service will be held 2 pm Saturday, March 13th at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood. There will be no formal visitation, but Margie will be lying in state at Heartland Funeral Home on Friday and Saturday before the services.
Margie was born September 28, 1952 in Coleman County to Roselus and Versie Mae Hodges. She married Horace Benjamin and began a life together that blessed them with 5 children. Margie loved cooking for her family and knitting during her down time. She loved spending time with her family, and providing them with a loving home.
Margie is survived by her 4 daughters, Louise Hodges, Lola Sisler, Versie Hodges and Shirley Hodges; sister Rose Mary Satberry; 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Horace Benjamin; daughter Victoria Hodges; brother Rosalus Hodges Jr; and sister Christine Hodges.
