Glynda Joyce Phelps, born Glynda Joyce Smith on June 22nd, 1945 in Brownwood, Texas passed away at 11:00 a.m. on January 2, 2021 from progressive complication of Covid-19. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Brownwood, Texas.
Glynda is a 1963 graduate of Brownwood High School. She held several corporate positions in multiple states and was an entrepreneur, but her favorite job was being Abuelita and Mimi to her grandkids. She experienced the joy of marriage and the pain of losing spouses. She persevered through the difficulty of single motherhood and she knew struggle and success. She loved and was loved. She left an indelible mark on the lives of her family and friends… and that is a life well lived!
Glynda is survived by two sisters, Barbara Grooms of Brownwood and Karen Listi of Belton, Texas; her son, Richard Kizer of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 3 step children; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
