RosaLinda “Rosey” Vasquez King, age 50, of Santa Anna, died Monday, February 22, 2021 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Haynes officiating. The family will greet friends after the memorial service. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

Rosey was born September 25, 1970 in Corpus Christi to Miguel Vasquez and Stella Smith Vasquez. With her father being in the military, Rosey grew up in many places. She graduated from Glen Falls High School in Glen Falls, New York. Rosey married Thomas “Tommy” King on May 29, 2008 in Coleman. She was the manager at the Sonic in Coleman for many years and helped her father install satellite dishes for dish network. Rosey had a loving heart and wonderful personality that made you become instant friends with her. She had a passion for helping others as evident through her work for the American Breast Cancer Society and her support for the Humane Society. Rosey loved all animals, but she had a special place in her heart for her dogs. Two of her favorite past times was watching her television programs and bargain shopping. Rosey’s love and spirit will be deeply missed, but she would want us to continue on by showing love and kindness to one another.

Rosey is preceded in death by her aunt, Rose Canales.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tommy” King of Santa Anna; her children, Anthony Garcia of Coleman, Aliyah Vasquez of Coleman, D’Nea King of Bangs, and Kameryn King of Bangs; her grandchildren, Lauren Olinger, Damyen King, Anthony Garcia, Jr., Miguel Garcia, and Gweneth Diaz; her parents, Miguel and Stella Vasquez of Coleman; her brothers, Joshua Vasquez of Coleman and Miguel Vasquez and wife Tina Salas of Coleman; and her sister, Jessica Vasquez Fellers and husband Brian of Santa Ann.

Memorials are suggested in memory of Rosey to the National Breast Cancer Foundation at www.nationalbreastcancer.org or to the Humane Society Thrift Store, 108 East Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas 76834.

Remembrances, condolences, and messages of comfort can be expressed to the family at www.livingmemorials.com. Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the King family.

Funerals are currently a public event being held during the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic. When you attend a public event, you are acknowledging risk of exposure.
