The Brownwood Police Department issued the following information Monday:
On Sunday, February 28, 2021, at approximately 8:20 a.m. officers with the Brownwood Police Department were dispatched to an apartment in the 1600 block of Good Shephard Dr. regarding a report of a domestic disturbance. The anonymous caller reported seeing a Hispanic female being pushed out of an apartment and onto the ground. Two males then exited the apartment and began kicking and punching the female before dragging her back inside.
Upon arrival, officers identified the female victim and the male was identified as 48-year-old Brandon Todd Boyer. Both citizens denied anything physical occurred even when confronted with blood stains on the female. After speaking with witnesses, the victim alleged that she was only pushed to the ground.
Based on the information received and evidence gathered, Boyer was arrested for Assault by Threat or Offensive Touch Family/Violence. While conducting this investigation, officers also observed drug paraphernalia visible in the open. Boyer and the female victim were both issued citations for the items.

On Friday, February 26, 2021, at approximately 9 p.m. officers with the Brownwood Police Department attempted to serve outstanding arrests warrants for 32-year-old Gustavo Rodrigo Buitron of Brownwood.
Officers arrived at a residence in the 1300 block of Avenue C and observed Buitron in the front yard of the residence. Officer Roberto Rodriguez called for Buitron to come to him, but he turned and began running through the neighborhood in an attempt to flee. Officers were able to catch up to Buitron and take him into custody without further incident.
While conducting this investigation, officers located a white carrying case believed to have been thrown by Buitron. Inside this case, officers located at almost 12 grams of suspected methamphetamine contained in small Ziploc type bags. The baggies of suspected methamphetamine and the digital scale in the case appeared consistent with distributing versus possessing.
Buitron was arrested for three (3) warrants as well as Evading Arrest/Detention and Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

On Saturday, February 27, 2021, at approximately 11 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Oakland Dr. regarding a report of a suspicious person knocking on doors and attempting to enter homes. Corporal Noe Acosta arrived on scene with other officers and attempted to locate the unknown male. Additionally, several neighbors were spoken to who discussed a male sleeping in carports and walking around at all hours.
Cpl. Acosta met with the original caller and began an investigation where he learned that the male suspect did enter her home uninvited and asked to use the telephone and make a phone call. This caused great fear to the homeowner who was a disabled woman with a young child. The male then abruptly left.
Cpl. Acosta took the glass to his patrol vehicle to process for latent prints then returned it to the complainant. While speaking with the complainant this second time, Cpl. Acosta heard the back door shut. He exited the back door then walked toward the carport on the side of the residence. Once there he observed an unknown male crouched behind the homeowner’s gas grill. Cpl. Acosta began ordering the male to identify himself and a foot pursuit ensued. Until the male was caught on another block in the backyard of a residence.
The male was identified as 29-year-old Stanton Leigh Fanning. A communication’s check revealed that Fanning had a warrant for his arrest out of Pardon and Parole. Fanning was arrested for Criminal Trespass of a Habitation as well as the warrant.
