Four COVID deaths, 62 positive results in last week

For the week of  Feb. 19-26, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 62 positive COVID-19 test results, 107 negative, and 74 recoveries. Of the 62 positives,  15 were PCR, and 47 were antigen. There are currently 4 hospitalized in Brown County. Four deaths were reported: one female in her 60’s, not a resident of a nursing facility; two females in their 80’s, one was a resident of a nursing facility and one was not; one male in his 80’s, not a resident of a nursing facility.

COVID-19 Vaccinations:
Brown County currently shows 2,875 people vaccinated with 1st doses, 1,183 people vaccinated with both doses.  30,883 is the estimated for vaccination.

Upcoming COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Information: 

Due to a delay in delivery the second dose clinic anticipated for March 3rd has been postponed.  Those who received 1st dose vaccinations on February 3rd will be rescheduled soon.

The Brownwood-Brown County Health Department and Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood will host a 1st dose Clinic for 700 individuals on Tuesday, March 2nd and will be by appointment only.  The Health Department will be calling individuals who have signed up on the list at www.BrownwoodTexas.gov/health.
