Andy Anderson, age 71, of Coleman, died February 13, 2021 at the Coleman County Medical Center.

A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman with Dr. Chas Shira, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. A private interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

He was born Andy Gus Anderson on May 19, 1949 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Thomas Anderson and Gladys Smith Anderson. Andy had a free spirit and enjoyed life. He loved camping with friends and relatives, had an extensive knife collection, and loved classic rock music. Andy’s favorite thing was to spend time with his family. He adored his nieces and nephews and considered them his own children. Andy will be missed.

Andy is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Nancy Teague; and one nephew, Samuel Medley.

He is survived by his sister, Jeanne Tremblay of Abilene; his nieces, Sheryl Medley of Abilene, Kimberly Bewley of Abilene, Tammy Medley of Abilene, and Molly Baker and husband Tim of Coleman; and his nephew, Billy Teague of Abilene.
