Anytha (Smart) Steele, 88, went to her heavenly home on Friday, February 19, 2021

On September 1, 1951, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Steele in Comanche, and together they had three children. Anytha loved her church, her children and grandchildren. She was the glue that held the family together. She loved with an unconditional love. Her greatest joy was being in the house of the Lord praising her Savior. She loved talking to us about the old times and how good we have it now compared to then. If Anytha knew of anyone in need she would do her best to take care of it, always giving, asking nothing in return. She was a member of Full Gospel Church of Comanche. Her husband, Kenneth was founder and she was co-founder. Together they worked hand-in-hand.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: daughters, Terry Steele and Debbie Saulter; son, David L. Steele; grandchildren: Angela Collins, Jason Garms, Stephanie Jock, Lance Reeves, and Kristy Cox; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; three girls that she loved like her own: Vickie Fields, Sherry Hall, and June Bower; brother, Wesley Smart and wife Patsy; sisters, Willie Blanton and Martha Damron and husband Jessie; brother-in-law, Tommy Steele and wife Ima; numerous nieces and nephews; and she was also blessed with many wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Steele; father, David Smart, Momma Helen Smart, birth mother, Dovie Smart; brothers, Damon Smart and Eskel Smart; sisters, JoAnn Rankin, Texan Smart, Dorothy Smart, and Earline Cox.

No formal visitation is scheduled, but friends may come by the funeral home to pay their respects. No family lunch is planned.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Gutierrez officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. Condolences may be offered on line at www.comanchefh.com.
