The following Bangs water update was posted at 10:25 a.m. Thursday:

The water tower has been taken offline to enable the repair of another ruptured line. The process should take less than two hours. The city will issue an update once the line is repaired and the tower is brought back online. The City of Bangs water system remains under a boil water notice, and city officials are continuing to urge that water be used for essential purposes only. Usage will be monitored through the period where unplanned and inconsistent intentional power outages might continue to occur.

The boil water notice will remain in effect until rescinded.
