Brownwood ISD recently posted the following on Facebook:
Wednesday and Thursday, February 17 and 18, will be remote instructional days for Brownwood ISD. Although doubtful, even if road conditions did improve, there are multiple power and water conditions which would not allow us to have face-to-face instruction.
We are thankful for our maintenance, grounds, and custodial personnel who have worked tirelessly today to clean up broken pipes and prevent further damage to facilities. We understand internet and electricity issues are worsening in some locations. Please continue to do what you can do and what is best for your family. We will be here when school doors open back up to assess and begin again.
