Brownwood 3M plant manager Russ Bryant confirmed Friday afternoon that the Brownwood plant is among those included in the curtailment.
“We’ve been informed by our utility provider that there is a statewide natural gas curtailment affecting all industrial facilities, and the 3M facility here will be closed temporarily during this period as the state prioritizes natural gas for humanitarian reasons during this cold weather period,” Bryant said.
Bryant further stated the curtailment is expected to last through “mid week, is what we’ve been told so far.”
