Eight COVID deaths, 150 positive results for the week

For the week of  Feb. 5-12, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 150 positive COVID-19 test results, 279 negative, and 79 recoveries. Of the 150 positives,  69 were PCR, and 81 were antigen. There are currently 10 hospitalized in Brown County. Eight deaths were reported: one female in her 50s not a resident of a nursing facility, two females in their 70s not residents of nursing facilities, a male in his 70s not a resident of a nursing facility, three males in their 80s one of which was a resident of a nursing facility, and one male in his 90s from a nursing facility.

COVID-19 Vaccinations:
Brown County currently shows 2,477 people vaccinated with 1st doses, 907 people vaccinated with both doses.  30,883 is the estimated for vaccination.

Upcoming Free Mobile COVID-19 Test Dates: 
Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) COVID-19 mobile testing team will continue on Monday, February 15th, and Thursday, February 18th, from 10 am to 4 pm at Gordon Wood Stadium located at 3206 Milam Drive.
