Shortly before 11 a.m. Thursday, the Brownwood Fire Department, Brownwood Police Department and Guardian EMS were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision in the 4200 block of US 377 South.

According to scanner traffic, the fire department at first thought extraction would be needed on one of the vehicles, but that turned out not to be the case.

Both vehicles suffered significant damage, but no major injuries were reported.

The accident was still under investigation. The roadway at the scene was extremely damp.
