Walter Lee Sliger

Walter Lee Sliger, age 91, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his home.

He was born on April 4, 1929, in Comanche County, Texas, to Berett and Ruby (Goodard) Sliger. On October 31, 1956, he was united in marriage to Eva Nell Layman in Comanche, Texas. Walter worked for Moorman’s and was a farmer. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved fishing and loved spending time with his family. Walter enjoyed traveling and loved his black cat named Blackie.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Nell Sliger of Comanche; daughter, Lanell Sliger Harbour of Comanche; daughter, Brenda Casey of Comanche; grandson: Carlton and wife Andrea Casey of Clovis, NM; granddaughter, Melody and husband Bryan Carroll of Greenwood; grandson, Jason and wife Megan Harbour of Comanche; grandson, Seamus Casey of Portales, NM; granddaughter, Terra and husband Steven Bradish of Royse City; eight grandchildren; brother, Roy Sliger of Comanche; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth and T.W. Sliger.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M on Friday, February 12, 2021, at Oakwood Cemetery with Bro. Steven Schulte officiating. Visitation will be prior to graveside service from 9:00A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Condolences may be made on line at www.comanchefh.com.
