Patsy Storey passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021.

A visitation is planned at Heartland Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Services will be held at Salt Creek Baptist Church at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 20th.  Patsy deeply missed her husband of 67 years, Henry Storey, who passed away in May 2020.

Patsy was born May 10, 1934 in Mullin, Texas to Luther and Lorena Spivey. She graduated from Early High School where she was a cheerleader, basketball player and voted Most Popular and Most Athletic.  Her life centered around service to others.  She was an active member of Salt Creek Baptist Church, serving on committees, teaching classes and Vacation Bible School.  She was a member and officer of the Owens Home Extension Club for 55 years.  She was a volunteer 4-H leader, assisting 4-H members with their projects and acting as a sponsor to the State Roundup Competitions. Patsy was instrumental in organizing the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Texas State Auctioneers’ Association, serving as an officer for each position during those years.  And those were just her volunteer activities outside of working as the secretary & treasurer of Storey & Associates Auctioneers.  Everyone loved Patsy because of her pleasant and engaging personality.  She was always smiling, encouraging and upbeat.  There wasn’t a problem she couldn’t solve or a game she didn’t enthusiastically play with her grandchildren.  She made those around her feel important and loved.

Patsy is survived by her children, Tommy and wife Patricia Storey of Early, Cindy Storey Finney and husband Paul of Arvada, CO and Victor Storey of Brownwood; sister-in-law, Bobbie Morris of Abilene; 12 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren & friends.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; parents, Luther and Lorena Spivey; son, Steve Storey; and seven siblings.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Salt Creek Cemetery Association at P.O. Box 3407, Early, TX 76803.
