Berniece Coffee, 83 (Coleman)

Berniece Coffee, age 83, of Coleman, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side.

A graveside funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Coleman City Cemetery with Rev. Aaron Mitchell, pastor of Concho Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

Berniece was born September 3, 1937 in Vashti, Clay County, Texas to Clarence Alvin Farmer and Ruby Irene Cordell Farmer.  She married Joe Coffee on September 22, 1952 in Lovington, New Mexico.  Berniece worked at Owl Drug, Campbells, and Tyson Pharmacy for 20 plus years and retired in 1999.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Berniece was a member of the Concho Baptist Church.

Berniece is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Coffee; and daughter Linda Coffee Adams.

She is survived by her sons, Darrell Coffee and wife Jennifer of San Antonio, Clayton Coffee and wife Lisa of Mead, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Lauren Coffee, Katie Fleming and husband Nic, Randy Coffee, Ryan Coffee, and Sarah Healey; five great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Louise Sikes of Fredericksburg, Norma Magby and husband Bud of Shelbyville, and Nina Sapp of Sanger.

Memorials are suggested in memory of Berniece to the Concho Baptist Church, 1700 S. Concho Street, Coleman, Texas 76834.

The family would like to thank that nurses and staff at Coleman Home Health and Hospice.  They would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Amber, Alyson, and Kristi for the wonderful care that they gave Berniece.
