MAY – The Class A No. 12 May Lady Tigers opened District 13-A competition with a 75-13 thrashing of Moran Tuesday night, improving to 12-2 on the season in the process.
The Lady Tigers led 20-4 after one quarter, 40-8 at halftime and 62-12 through three periods.
Three May players finished in double figures – Roberta Robinette with 23 points, Reese Chambers with 13 and Korlei King with 10 points. Also scoring for the Lady Tigers were Brianna Steele with nine points, Hannah McKenzie and Melanie Murphree with six apiece, Anna Woods with four, and Lexi Fox and Sophie Lord with two points each.
May will back in action Friday at No. 9 Eula.

Brookesmith Lady Mustangs 56, Lohn 23
BROOKESMITH – Playing in just their fourth game of the season, the Brookesmith Lady Mustangs kicked off District 17-A action with a 56-23 win over Lohn Tuesday night.
Brookesmith (2-2, 1-0) received a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds from Whitney Bean, while Khloe Brummett chipped in 14 points and eight boards.
The Lady Mustangs will visit district foe Lometa Friday.

Blanket Tigers 52, Gustine 43
BLANKET – The Blanket Tigers improved to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in District 18-A action with a 52-43 home win over Gustine Tuesday night.
The Tigers were sparked by a game-high 23 points from Ryan Jenkins.
Blanket will venture to Mullin Friday night.

#2 Peaster 73, Early Longhorns 56
EARLY – The Early Longhorns slipped to 1-2 in District 8-3A action and 5-8 on the season with Tuesday’s 73-56 home loss to No. 2 Peaster.
Peaster (11-2, 3-0), the 8-3A co-leader with Brock, led 20-11 after one quarter, 44-29 at halftime and 60-43 through three frames.
Early received 16 points from Jake Simpson, 10 from Ethan Mitchell and nine points from Jeremy Brown.
The Longhorns travel to Eastland Friday.

Brock 49, Bangs Lady Dragons 21
BANGS – The Bangs Lady Dragons were dealt a third straight defeat in District 8-3A action Tuesday night, falling at home to Brock by a 49-21 count.
The Lady Dragons (6-9, 2-3) trailed Brock (7-7, 3-1) by a 31-4 count at halftime, but were outscored by just one point, 18-17, over the final two quarters.
Brooklann Mullins paced Bangs with nine points.
The Lady Dragons visit No. 18 Peaster Friday.

Gustine 30, Blanket Lady Tigers 14
BLANKET – The Blanket Lady Tigers tumbled to 1-3 in District 18-A action and 3-7 for the season with a 30-14 setback at the hands of Gustine Tuesday night.
The Lady Tigers received five points from Jacy Stovall, four from Marian Marquez, three from Mariela Menchaca and two points from Penny Pedraza.
Blanket will venture to Mullin Friday.
