Betty (Nanie) was born Wednesday, July 2, 1930 to OT and Nilah Hook in Brownwood.

Betty was married to Clyde McBee until his passing. Later in 1965 she married Billy Gilbreath and began a life together that blessed them with one daughter. She was the sweetest woman and would help anybody. Nanie enjoyed going for a ride to get her Dr. Pepper fix and enjoying a hamburger. She enjoyed trips out of town with her daughter, but most of all she loved going to church. She was a devoted Christian (Pentacostal) and loved her church family. Betty was a member of the Brownwood Evangelism Center. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grands. She will be missed dearly.

Betty is survived by her daughter Rhonda Joyner of Brownwood; 2 grandchildren, Keven Lambert and Maranda Lovell; 9 great grandchildren, Hayden Lambert, Noah Lambert, Nicholas Lambert, Xyla Lambert, Ryker Lambert, Cavan Lovell, Norah Lovell, Ellie Lovell and Trenton Lambert.

She is preceded in death by her parents, OT Hook and Nilah Tinney; first husband Clyde McBee.
