The City of Brownwood posted the following on its Facebook page Tuesday afternoon:

Henry Wied has been named the Interim Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Brownwood after previous Director David Withers announced his retirement. Henry is the Utilities Director and has been with the City for four years. Prior to joining the City of Brownwood, he spent 17 years at the Red River Water Authority. Henry is a high-energy team member who is skilled in operational efficiencies and project management. Henry is excited about joining the Parks and Rec team and expanding the way he serves the citizens.
