Michael Jon Driscoll, 75, of May, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020.  Mike’s family is planning a memorial service at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 201 FM 2273, May, TX at 1:00 PM Monday, November 16, 2020.

Mike was born July 7, 1945 in Pontiac Michigan.  He graduated from high school at Houghton Lake in Michigan and became an over the road truck driver.  Mike had an adventurous nature and loved to travel.  He worked traveling all over the United States for over 30 years.  Mike loved classic cars and had a hobby restoring them to their glory as a young man.  Mike said when he met his wife that God must have saw him and her wandering around aimlessly and brought them together because they needed each other to love and take care of.  Mike’s favorite past time was sitting outside on the deck with Nita and his special four-legged furry friend, Lucas enjoying nature.  He loved watching the birds and fed them daily.  Mike loved to laugh and play games with his friends at the lake, he loved life and will forever be missed by many.

Mike is survived by his wife, Nita Ward of May; son, Kerry Sawyer of San Marcos; daughter, Raenita Sawyer of Fort Worth; grandsons, Nick Smith and wife Chelsey of Houston and Zack Smith of Austin; sister, Carolyn Wycoff of Prudenville, MI; and special friend & brother-in-law, David Sellers and wife Rowena of Andrews, TX.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Texas Tech Health Science Department in his name.

Online condolences, tributes and memorials can be shared with the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
