Howard Payne University will participate in GivingTuesday on Tuesday, Dec. 1. The event is a global day of giving that unites people, communities and organizations to celebrate generosity and raise support for non-profit organizations.

HPU’s goal is to raise $125,000 and total 280 donors with 100 new donors. The university is seeking support for all areas of need, including scholarship funds, athletics, the Howard Payne Fund, campus improvements, the Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedom renovation project or other areas as specified by donors. Dr. Dale Meinecke, vice president for development, said that a pledge from an HPU donor will help to magnify the impact of donations made on GivingTuesday.

“We are thrilled that a generous donor has agreed to match up to $50,000 for gifts from first-time donors and donors who have not given in the last ten years,” said Dr. Meinecke. “This is a tremendous opportunity for HPU supporters to double their impact for our students.”

Visit www.hputx.edu/givingtuesday on Tuesday, Dec. 1, to help support HPU’s mission to deliver quality education in a Christ-centered and close-knit community. Interested donors may make a financial contribution to HPU at any time at www.hputx.edu/give.
