Jimmy Lewis

At a recent National Convention in Lawton Oklahoma, Jimmy Lewis of Brownwood was inducted into the JCI Senate by the Brownwood Jaycees. This is the highest recognition awarded a Jaycee in the world. You cannot sign up for a Senatorship in the Junior Chamber of Commerce. It is awarded to one in 1,000 of Jaycee volunteers that do so much for their community. This recognition must be approved by the Local Chapter President, State, National & JC International President.

Jimmy is a supervisor at the local Kohler plant and has been there for nearly 28 years. His wife Audrey, son Matthew and daughter Arliss are extremely proud of Jimmy’s accomplishments in the community.

The path from there to now is paved with one award after another signifying numerous great achievements for Brownwood, its surrounding area and Texas. Being a member of the Brownwood Jaycees Jimmy was involved in countless projects, many of which he was in charge.

Jimmy joined the Brownwood Jaycees in 1993 and was awarded the New Jaycee of the Year award along with others that year. Jimmy is especially proud of the 1995 U.S. Recruiters Hall of Fame award which lead to countless Texas awards for recruiting. Jimmy received a “Jake” for being the #1 Chapter Secretary in Texas. He also chaired the “Distinguished Service Awards” banquet in 1993.
