On Tuesday, Nov 3, Mrs. Helzer’s Kindergarten class at Northwest Elementary learned all about voting and the importance of making your voice heard in their “Snack”idential Election.

The students learned that their vote matters as they voted on which snack they would have (popcorn or chips) for their snack on Friday. “The kids loved it,” said Helzer. “They were so excited that they had a say in what we had.”

As for the results, it was a close race. Popcorn was declared the winner by only one vote!
