Brown County Sheriff’s Report – Oct. 21

On Monday, Oct. 19, Deputy Jimmy Cornelius met with an individual who found parts of a handgun lying in the roadway. A found property report was made.

On Monday, Oct. 19, Deputy Mike Sheedy responded to County Road 234. This was in reference to theft of livestock. Sheedy spoke with the complainant and his daughter, who reported several head of cattle were missing from the property. The complainant believed a relative may have taken the cattle without permission and may be responsible for the theft. A report was generated and forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division for further investigation.

On Monday, Oct. 19 at about 5 p.m., Deputy Simpson responded to CR 467. This was in regards to a theft. Upon arriving on scene, Simpson met with an individual who advised he had items stolen from his storage. A report was made.

On Monday, Oct. 19, Deputy Toby Mathis, conducted a traffic stop in the 3800 block Hwy 279. The driver was detained after a methamphetamine glass pipe was located on his person. The driver was placed in custody for possession controlled substance PG1 and unlawful carry of weapon.

On Monday, Oct. 19, Deputy Jose Rodriguez was dispatched to FM 3100. This was in regards to theft. A report was made.

On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at at approximately 2:22 p.m., Deputy Mike Sheedy and Deputy Andre Smoot responded to the area of County Road 321 and County Road 327. This was to investigate a report of theft/criminal mischief. Information regarding the offense was received and a report was generated and forwarded to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.

On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at approximately 3:18 p.m. Deputy Jose Rodriguez was dispatched to Temple Avenue in Brownwood. This was in regards to a theft of a bicycle. A report was made.

On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at approximately 4:29 p.m. Deputy Nicolas A. Wood attempted to located an individual to serve him a Trespass Warning from his father’s property, but was unable to locate him.

On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at about 8:28 p.m., Deputy Simpson responded to Brin Street. This was in regards to a burglary of a habitation. Upon making contact with the complainant, Simpson was advised the residence was burglarized for the second time in a week and four more items were taken. A report was made.

On Tuesday, Oct. 20, Deputy Toby Mathis responded to Brin St. This was for a report of a fight in progress with a possible knife involved. Deputies arrived and learned no physical assault occurred. Information was gathered and two reports were made.
