Chick-fil-A issued the following press release Monday regarding the Nov. 5 opening of its Brownwood restaurant:

Chick-fil-A Brownwood, located on East Commerce Street next to Lednicky Park, is slated to open for business on Thursday, Nov. 5. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Bridget Jones as the franchise owner of the newest Chick-fil-A restaurant in Central Texas. A native of Brownwood, Jones will oversee day-to-day activities of the business, employing approximately 110 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses and serving Guests. Chick-fil-A Brownwood is located at 500 E. Commerce St. and will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

At Chick-fil-A, safe service is our first priority. As states begin to ease restrictions on the closure of local businesses, Chick-fil-A restaurants are taking additional time to review operations and ensure there are the necessary precautions in place to protect our Guests and Team Members before reopening dining rooms. In the meantime, Chick-fil-A Brownwood will open for drive-thru service, mobile curbside and drive-thru pickup, and third-party delivery through DoorDash. Guests can take advantage of the multi-lane drive-thru, contactless ordering and payment through the Chick-fil-A App®.

In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100 Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Brownwood will be providing free Chick-fil-A meals for a year to 100 local heroes making an impact in the Brownwood community. To learn more about Chick-fil-A’s response to the coronavirus, please visit chick-fil-a.com/covid.

Additionally, the Chick-fil-A Foundation has partnered with Feeding America to donate $25,000 to support local communities for every new restaurant opening. To aid in the fight against hunger, this donation will go towards organizations in Brown County that are doing good work to care for others.

Locally Owned and Operated

Chick-fil-A Brownwood is locally-owned and operated by Bridget Jones, a Brownwood native whose family has lived in the area for generations. Before opening her own Chick-fil-A restaurant, she served as Restaurant Director at two restaurants outside of Austin. Prior to starting her career with Chick-fil-A, Jones taught elementary and middle school in the Austin area, where she was named a Rising Star Teacher of the Year, and also owned and operated a Just Between Friends franchise location, for which she was awarded Franchise of the Year. Jones graduated locally from Brownwood High School and earned her college degree from Howard Payne University. She and her husband, Jonathan, who she met locally at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church, returned home to Brownwood earlier this year, along with their two children.

“Serving the Brownwood community means so much to my family, and we are excited to give back to the community that made us who we are. The local saying goes, ‘Brownwood Feels Like Home,’ but for us, Brownwood really is home,” said Jones. “We look forward to becoming a community hub and a premier employer in Brownwood, where people can enjoy good food in a welcoming environment.”

Team Member Investment

Chick-fil-A is known for hiring, developing and retaining top talent, and providing a great work environment for people of all ages and backgrounds. Each Chick-fil-A restaurant offers flexible hours, competitive pay and benefits, opportunities for leadership growth, hands-on training and mentoring by the restaurant owner and college scholarships. As with all Chick-fil-A restaurants, Team Members are guaranteed Sundays off.

Premium Ingredients and Fresh, Handmade Food

Nearly everything on the Chick-fil-A menu is made from scratch daily, including salads made from fresh vegetables and fruit that is hand-chopped throughout the day. The lemonade is made from three simple ingredients: lemon juice, sugar and water.

Chick-fil-A serves chicken with No Antibiotics Ever in all of its U.S. locations. By not allowing antibiotics of any kind, Chick-fil-A chicken meets the highest commitment for non-antibiotic use. For more information about the Chick-fil-A No Antibiotics Ever commitment, visit www.chick-fil-a.com/nae.

Commitment to Customer Service

With a longstanding tradition in the restaurant industry for setting the highest standards in customer service, Chick-fil-A earned recognition as “best fast food customer service in America” according to America’s Best Customer Service 2019 report by Newsweek, among other honors.
