The family will host a visitation from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 10, at the Santa Anna Cemetery Pavilion.

She was born Kayla Suzette Casey on November 1, 1990 in Brownwood to Harold Wayne Casey and Terrilyn Suzette Jones Taylor.  Kayla grew up for a short period of time in Arkansas before moving to Santa Anna.  She graduated Santa Anna High School in 2009 and then attended American Commercial College, Cisco College, and Texas College of Cosmetology in Abilene.  Kayla enlisted in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge after an injury during bootcamp.  She loved doing arts and crafts, baking, and was a talented soprano singer.  Kayla was the second chair soprano voice for the Arkansas State Choir.  She was a beautiful daughter and a wonderful mother to her daughter Raegan.  Raegan was her pride and joy and would do anything for her.  Kayla will be missed by all who knew her.

Kayla is preceded in death by her father, Harold Wayne Casey; her son, Lucas Wayne; her paternal grandmother, Ovella Ruth Greer; her maternal grandparents, Rev. A.T. and Muzette Jones; and her cousin, Randen A. Thomas.

She is survived by her daughter, Raegan Leigh Casey Morales of Novice; her mother, Terrilyn Taylor of Novice; her aunts and uncles, Kathy and Ron Winters of Santa Anna, Linda and Connelly Venable of Nashville, Arkansas, Donna Miller and family of Early, Nita Diehl and family of Early, Debbie Wilson and family of Kingsland, and Ricki Greer and family of Early; step-father Terry Taylor, Sr. and wife Misti of Santa Anna; step-brother, Terry Taylor, Jr. and family of Santa Anna; and numerous friends.

Flowers are welcomed.  Memorials are suggested in memory of Kayla to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Remembrances, condolences, and messages of comfort can be expressed to the family at www.livingmemorials.com.  Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Casey Family.
