2020 has been a year of struggle for NaNook & NaKoda’s Big Paw Rescue due to COVID-19 shut downs. We have been unable to have our big fundraising event but Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2311 Vine St we will be having our 3rd annual Fall Garage Sale and EVERYTHING MUST GO! Proceeds go towards the day to day care of the dogs and the building fund.
NaNook & NaKoda’s Big Paw Rescue is Brownwoods only 501c3 non profit large and giant breed dog rescue. We pull dogs from shelters. We are a cage free environment. We currently function as a small network of foster homes (always in need of new fosters to save more lives) and are in the process of building a facility (The Dog House – a human livable type facility set up as a home but it’s The Dog House where their training begins as soon as we pull them from shelters) on 80 acres so we can save more lives.  The dogs with us live in a home environment where they are potty trained, taught house manners, socialized and those with the right temperament for PTSD service work are donated to veterans.
