PEASTER – The Early Lady Horns slipped to 1-3 in District 8-3A volleyball action and 6-6 on the season with a 25-14, 25-13, 25-12 road loss to state-ranked Peaster Saturday afternoon.

Early received three kills each from Carrigan Norris, Taylor Summers and Alexa Portillo, and one apiece from Gracie Yebra and Gwen Phillips.

Bethany Tomlinson issued four assists, Summers added two and Norris was credited with one.

Norris, Summers and Tori Wood-Rush served one ace each.

Defensively, Norris netted eight digs trailed by six apiece from Summers and Grace LaRue and one each by Tomlinson and Portillo.

Early recorded 18 blocks as a team – seven by Savannah Holt, five by Phillips, three by Yebra, two by Portillo and one by Norris.

The Lady Horns are back in action at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bangs.
