One person was transported by Lifeguard EMS to Brownwood Regional Medical Center following a one-vehicle accident on FM 45 south of Brownwood, between CR 239 and CR 240.

The call was dispatched to the Brownwood, Brookesmith and Winchell Fire Departments at approximately 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, a navy blue Dodge Ram 1500 pickup was discovered in an area of trees off the roadway.

The pickup was traveling north toward Brownwood and, coming around a curve, veered through the south bound lane, down a gulley and crashed into the trees.

DPS Troopers and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene investigating the accident. Rain had gathered on the road where the accident took place.
