Tickets for the Brownwood Lions’ football home opener against Midland Greenwood – slated for 7:30 p.m. Friday at Gordon Wood Stadium – will go on sale Monday morning.

Tickets will be available at the Brownwood High School athletic office throughout the week. No tickets will be sold at the gate Friday.

From 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, tickets will be available for families of football players and other participants – cheerleaders, band, drill team, etc.. A maximum of four tickets can be purchased and all tickets are $7.

On Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., tickets can be purchased by those who held season tickets for Lions’ games last season. Again, a max of four can be purchased at $7 apiece.

General admission sales will take place from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday for anyone else interested in tickets, with a limit of four at $7 each.

On Thursday, all overflow tickets will be available – those that either haven’t sold on the home side or the visitors side – between 9 a.m. and noon and 1 and 4 p.m. There is no limit on the number of tickets that can be bought on Thursday, and the price will remain $7 per ticket.

There are 1,800 tickets available on the home side, and a portion of that will be available on the visitors side if Greenwood does not sell all its allotment.

The same ticket sales format will be followed for the China Spring game at Gordon Wood Stadium on Sept. 11, as well as the remainder of the home games on Brownwood’s schedule.
