Joe Bob Parker, age 90 of Brownwood went to be with his Lord peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22nd at 3:00 PM in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early.
Joe Bob was born on Friday, February 7, 1930 to Omar and Ethel Parker. He was blessed with 3 wonderful children. Joe Bob was in the US Air Force as an engineer, and worked for NASA where he assisted with building the live support system for the first manned Apollo spacecraft, he then went on to work for the Adolf Coors Company in Golden, Co. before retiring. Joe Bob was a very talented engineer/craftsman. From building remote control airplanes, to working with leather. He handcrafted silver jewelry and anything he could think of to build out of bamboo.
Job Bob is survived by his sons, Scott Parker from Berthoud, Co. and Kyle Parker and wife Galina of Longmont, Co.; daughter Cynthia Hogan of Brownwood; 2 grandchildren, Bree Rigg and Nicholas Hogan.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Nadine Griffin.
