15 people arrested in connection with local child trafficking

The Brown County Sheriff’s Department issued the following press release regarding a child trafficking operation in Brown County:

The Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division, along with the Abilene Police Department, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, and Brownwood Police Department, conducted a Child Trafficking Operation in Brown County on August 6th and 7th of 2020.

The operation was headquartered at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center in Brownwood. The operation targeted subjects that were soliciting minors online for sexual encounters. The operation lead to the arrest of 12 persons in Brown County and the arrest of 3 persons in other counties.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday afternoon provided the names and photos of 12 who were arrested –  Grady Barclay, Charles Wayne Batts, Ricky Devon Blue, Adu Kapit Bukasa, James Lee Duvall, Dickie Flanagan, Cody Gault, Scotty Gotcher, Frank Greenwood, Ryan Neil Hunt, Logan Hutson and Demarcus Lockett.
