Brownwood News – The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce and the Early Chamber of Commerce will host a joint luncheon this Friday, August 21. The luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Brownwood Country Club.
The August luncheon is always the “Back To School” luncheon. The featured speakers will be three Superintendents: Dr. Joe Young of the Brownwood ISD, Dr. Dewayne Wilkins of the Early ISD, and Dr. Josh Martin of the Bangs ISD. Both Dr. Wilkins and Dr. Martin are in their first year with their respective school districts. The three superintendents will give summaries of the 2019/20 school year, and a preview of the upcoming 2020/21 school year. A question and answer session will be available for each superintendent.
The luncheon will also feature the popular “Aces Wild” drawing. To participate in “Aces Wild” you must buy a ticket or tickets for $1 each. From those persons, one lucky person is selected to draw a card from the deck. If the correct card is drawn, he/she will win over $8000 this month.
